Welcome back to the Aus X-Wing Open for 2019, third time around

This year on the 4th of May our Ace Pilots will once again converge on our Nation's Capital to attempt to Dog-Fight their way into an Invitation. We are going to go "Back to Jakku" a second time, becasue everyone wants to go back to Jakku right?

This is the third year of Aus Open being run and it's been a cracker of an event each time. you can purchase a ticket from the Wired Unplugged Webstore right now.

Once again if you can't be here you can still be part of the experience. X-Wing players from all over the world will be invited to participate in the voting that determines what the players will be flying at the "Tatooine Classic" Invitational and "Tatooine Classic" Open.

Of course you can follow along from a computer or phone as well. Track results, standings, round draws and even the round timer in real-time via TTT and watch Live Coverage on the Wired Unplugged Twitch Channel. If you can’t watch in real time plenty of matches will be available on the Wired Unplugged YouTube Channel after the event.

The Main Event

200 point Extended Format Event of 5 Rounds

"Back to Jakku" Invitational

The 8 Invited players will compete in a single elimination event using “The Garbage will do” format. A Single player will win their 3 rounds and walk away the champion of the first Aus Open, with an awesome haul of prizes.

Several if not all of the games will be recorded, 4 of them will be Live Streamed but all going well our commentary team will also be able to keep you updated on the game not on the live feed.

Players who didn’t manage to score an invite to the Invitational will be given the opportunity to play in their own mini version of it. Players will be divided into pools of 8 based on their final positions in the Main Event. The 8 Players will play a 3 Rounds Swiss Event for a chance to score a cool prize.
